So I got the pantone huey last week. It’s been doing it’s Knight Rider red led schwooshy thing every so often — it’s a bit distracting — adjusting my screen’s overall gamma (i think) based on the ambient light. Like everyone on the web says, it’s a very simple color tool. There are no options when calibrating the sucker. It’s no where near as cool as the One-Eye from Gretag MacBeth (who also have their name on this product).
But hey I found it for $74 after shipping and the $0.0 tax. Ya can’t beat that and for a total hobbyist like me, it’s perfect.

Knight Rider thing? That’s a feature, right? Does it talk to you and call you Michael?
Yeah it’s a feature. I show it off in one of my daily photos that I’ll post as soon as I have time to sort through them!
